Now let’s discuss the points one by one.

1.     Improve your Webpage Design-

Yeah..!! It’s the first factor as if the design of page is not engaging then all your SEO SEM efforts will be worthless. Your visitor will leave your site without reading any content. The visual appearance plays very important role to engage your visitor.

Now come to actual points…

2. Title Optimization

Title tag is one of the most important factors for on page optimization.

1. Keep your keyword in your title. Keyword position also plays important role.
2. Keep your business name in your title. It is very important for branding. So put it somewhere in your title.
3. Do not put too many keywords in your title.
4. Make it maximum of 70 characters long.

3. Meta Tags Optimization

The Meta description is used to describe the page in the search results after listing the page title. An appealing and relevant Meta description increases the chances that people will click on your listing.

1. Make sure each page on your site has its own unique Meta description.
2. It can also be used to include a phone number or some other call to action.
3. Make it maximum of 160 characters long.

4. Link Optimization

1. Always use SEF (Search Engine Friendly) URLs.
2. Include keyword in your page URL.
3. Make shorter URL.
4. Use Hyphens instead of underscore to separate words.

1. Keep your content original and relevant.
2. Use right amount of keywords (keyword density) with one or two variations/ synonyms.
3. Use <h1> tag for headline. Also use h2, h3 etc. for other headlines if required.
4. Bold/Strong keywords in some places.
5. Italic/Emphasized the targeted keyword term/phrase in the text.
6. Use internal links.
7. Include keyword in HTML Comments- yes some engines scan html comments.

1. Alt tag - Set keyword phrase in alt tag.
2. File name - Always use meaningful filename. You can also use Keyword term as filename.
3. Set title for links and image.

7. Sitemap

We recommend both XML and HTML sitemap. Make sure your every page is included in sitemap.

Step1.

1. Log on to WordPress admin.
2. Go to Settings>Permalink Settings.
3. On Common settings choose Custom Structure
4. Set /%postname%/ on input box given.
5. Click Save Changes.

Step2.

Now add an .htaccess file on the blog’s root folder .

Put the following code in the .htaccess file

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

Note:- here blog is root folder name for WordPress files.

Now follow the Step 3 if URL’s still not working. Your server may not have the AllowOverride directive enabled. In this case, .htaccess files are completely ignored.

Step3.

1. logon to webmin.
2. Click on Server from side menu.
3. Click on Apache Webserver side menu.
4. On Existing virtual hosts  tab Find servers where Server Name equals to <websitename.com>
5. Click on the Virtual Server link for which port no is 80.

FYI,

1. Port 80 is generally used for website.
2. Port 443 is generally used for SSL.
3. Now on Virtual Server Options; Click on Edit Directives.
4. Add following code below the last Directory tag code to allow override.

<Directory /var/www/html/full_ path_ to_ the_ directory>

AllowOverride All

</Directory>

example-

<Directory /var/www/html/yoursite/blog>

AllowOverride All

</Directory>

1. Save changes.
2. You must restart your Apache server for any httpd.config file changes to take effect
3. Carefully click on the Apply Changes RHS.

1. Go to the Article Manager.
2. Select ” Options ” (the button on the top right).
3. Under Text Filters options, choose:
   Filter groups: select the groups that are allowed to use HTML code, e.g. SuperAdministrator
   Filter type: Whitelist / no filtering

Now you can use HTML in your articles (with “Edit HTML Source” option).

Now what for custom components?

For custom components the file you need to edit is:  “libraries\joomla\filter\filterinput.php”

Make changes for the tags or attributes as desired.

Please be careful with those settings in production server.
